Summer is almost coming to an end and to celebrate the last days of the season we’ve decided to make a really summery green smoothie. The combination of watermelon, pineapple and spinach becomes particularly refreshing, great for a pic-me-up in the afternoon as a snack. The amount of water needed is almost nothing as both watermelon and pineapple are very juicy fruits, but to make it more easy to blend, add as much as you need to get the blender moving, however no more than half a cup (125 ml) as it will get too watery otherwise. Add the watermelon first, then the spinach and then the pineapple for best blending result.
2 cups (500 ml) watermelon
2 cups (500 ml) pineapple (frozen if you want a colder smoothie)
2 cups (500 ml) spinach
Max. 1/2 cup (125 ml) water – use only as much as you need to blend
